## Setup instructions

1. The Graphite CLI is a prerequisite for the menu bar app. Follow [these instructions](/content/docs/install-the-cli/index.html) to set it up on your machine.
2. Download the [menu bar app](https://system-tray-app-releases-prod.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/latest/Graphite-menu-bar.dmg).

The menu bar app uses the top-level `authToken` field within `~/.config/graphite/user_config` and does not support use with [alternative profiles](/content/docs/configure-cli#using-graphite-cli-with-multiple-github-user-accounts-auth-tokens/index.html).
